WHAT'S INCLUDED: • Transport from Methven • Full-day guided hike with Megsy • Small group experience (max 6 people) • Epic photo opportunities • Fresh tea stop in the mountains ITINERARY: Your adventure begins with a relaxed pick-up in Methven, where we’ll head towards the stunning Mount Somers / Woolshed Creek area (approx. 20–25 minute drive). Along the way, you’ll get a feel for the local landscape, history, and what makes this place so special. We’ll arrive at the Woolshed Creek car park and begin our hike, following a well-formed track alongside the creek. Expect crystal-clear water, rocky crossings, and epic mountain views right from the start. As we make our way up the valley, we’ll take regular stops to soak it all in, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Our goal is to reach Woolshed Creek Hut, nestled beneath the dramatic Mount Somers range. Here, we’ll take a well-earned break and have some lunch. After relaxing at the hut, we’ll begin our return journey back down the track. We’ll then head back to Methven, finishing the day feeling refreshed, accomplished, and fully immersed in a real New Zealand adventure. WHAT TO WEAR/BRING: • Comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots (sneakers are fine but they must have good traction on them as the path can be slippery, especially after rain) • Comfortable clothes depending on the season (shorts/leggings and a t-shirt) • A warm layer of clothing and a waterproof jacket • Backpack with at-least 2 litres of water (hydration pack recommended) • Bring your own lunch & snacks • Sunblock and a sun hat • Camera/phone 🤍 A Little Note This is for those ready to step things up and experience a real mountain day. It’s not about being the fastest, it’s about showing up, giving it a go, and enjoying the journey along the way.
